The VR-tist

WHAT... if we could virtually search two-dimensional maps by literally walking through them?

Problem

Two-dimensional maps are informative, but usually offer little interactivity. Especially in media like music it is a good idea to make maps come alive.

Solution

Modern web technologies offer the possibility to load information as VR application directly into the browser. They can either be navigated using mouse and keyboard or experienced as a real VR world via HMD (Head-Mounted-Display). Thus, music can be played when entering an area and additional information can be displayed when viewing elements.

Challenges

Web services depend on the dynamic loading of data from remote servers. The user should also be able to use the service with all available devices.
