there is finally a way to protect yourself from fake news? How can the validity of a message be guaranteed again?
Problem
The daily flood of contradictory information is no longer just a marginal phenomenon of social media. Even in serious journalism and politics, fake news is often the subject of discussion and can cause a lot of confusion. It is understandable that trust in news and reports is declining. And although in the age of digitization every Internet user has access to a wide variety of information, independent research and verification of sources is an enormous effort. In addition, the individual filter bubble is of course a restriction that can limit access to information. How can trust in news be restored and its origin made traceable?
Solution
The central task of the "Credibility Score" is to restore trust in news and messages. Based on blockchain technology, a database guarantees protection against manipulation and at the same time offers users maximum transparency. The "Fact Check DB" collects reports and messages that can then be rated by the community. The more participants consider an article or an actor to be trustworthy, the higher the respective credibility score. In this way, a comprehensible network is created that focuses on credibility.
